We're Back Home!

The Little One and I flew back here in Oz, the early morning of Tuesday, the 22nd around 0400H. Kaiden was very good on the flight, though complaining of how old the plane was. He is used to having his own TV right in front of him. We boarded a not-so-new Boeing plane where the TV screen was at the center wall. He never liked Qantas, as we normally fly with SQ, CX, EK, KL; though the most he remember are SQ and CX.

Anyways, the Husband was waiting for us as we went out. B gave the Little One a Christmas stocking filled with sweets and I got a big hug and kiss! We stopped by at McDonald's to have breakfast. Then our Boy's non-stop gabble started as he talked about the things he did in the Philippines!

I was kind of weary when we got home but I could not sit still knowing I still have things to do. So I unpacked our luggage. B forced Kaiden and I to hit the sack and have hours rest before lunch. We did as we were told and woke up at past 1400H. The Husband prepared our lunch, we ate, had a shower to freshen up and went to the mall!

The next 2 days before Christmas were all spent shopping (as if I haven't had enough shopping in Manila!!!). Shops here opened till late at night and some were even 24 hours non-stop! How I wish they can do it everyday and not close at 1600H or 1700H.

We had a very nice Christmas day. I'll do a separate entry for that.

Boxing Day was kind of busy for us as we prepare for a post-Christmas Dinner for some relatives. There were a total of 7 kids in the house including Kaiden. Oh, the Boy had lots of fun playing with them, who were mostly boys! They ran around in the yard like crazy and just had a good time!

When I was giving the Little One a bath last night, he told me that he wanted to have a playmate and asked why I could not get pregnant! I could not help but laugh! I told him that Dada and I were trying but maybe it's not yet time. He said he wish to have a baby sister to take care of! How sweet! The Husband and I better work hard for it! LOL!!!

B went on another trip last night. He drove to the airport and I drove back home. It was my first time to drive that long and late at night, not to mention that it rained too. We got home safe as Kaiden fell sound asleep in his car seat. B's flight was at 0100H.

Now it's just the Little One and I again for 3 days as the Husband fly home on Wednesday morning. So here I am back to blogging!

It's Great To Be Back!

I love reading your lovely and warm welcoming comments! Feels like the old times! Nice to know my very dear blogger friends are still here for me! Thanks guys!

I've got lots and lots of catching up to do! Tons of entries to read! My fault! Ha!Ha!Ha!

The little one and I are alone right now. B went on a 2 weeks business trip to Vietnam. He is not working at the moment and just takes part time consultancy job. It's hard not having him around. I know I should have gotten used to it, since he is almost always away from his previous work. It's just that ever since we came back here last October, we've been together 24/7 since then. So being apart again is kinda hard for me. When my sister Sheila was here, B also went away for 2 weeks in Malaysia. It was alright because I've got company. But it's different now. I'm all alone from 0830H - 1500H because Kaiden is at school.

Good thing I came back to blogging! It always keeps me company and keeps me sane!

Emanating From Oblivion . . .

. . . at the Land Down Under!

I don't know how to start with this comeback entry of mine . . .

Yes, my dearest friends, I'm still very much alive! LOL! I'm so sorry for not updating the blog for months and not replying to any of your very thoughtful messages.

I have been just so mooned moving from place to place since we left Latvia.

Here's a brief summary:

02Sept - 07Oct >>> We were in the Philippines for over a month. Kaiden and I left Latvia first while B finishes his contract till the 3rd week of September. He came to Manila for 2 days then went on his last business trip for the company for about a week. Got back to us then he decided to go home to Australia ahead of us to get our house ready.

Kaiden and I enjoyed our stay in Manila. It was good catching up with my family, relatives and friends. Had a good time shopping everywhere and seeing people I haven't seen for a long time. We also had the blessing of my parents' house. Gorged with lots of Filipino dishes, especially Lechon!

08Oct08 - 05Jan09 >>> We brought my youngest sis, Sheila with us here in Australia for 3 months. The trip was a reward for passing the Nursing Board Exams. She had a blast here! More on that on the coming entries.

Anyways, my passport will expire on 30 August of this year so I will have to renew it. I went to the Philippine Embassy website here and learned that the whole passport process will be done in the Philippines; and the applicant will have to personally go to Canberra. What a hassle! So I thought of just going home and doing it myself; of course through the help of my former colleague and friend from the travel industry. It was also a good time because I'll be flying home with my sister.

With our trip already planned, I contacted my friend and asked her to help me get an early release for my passport. She assured me of just a 5 days process, so off we go! We had a very limited time in the Philippines because Kaiden will be starting school the next day after we landed back here in Australia.

06Jan - 26Jan >>> Had a lovely 3 weeks stay in Manila. What a good start of the year . . . Manila bound! The trip was as always, a surprise to my family back home. They were all shocked to see Kaiden and I at the airport instead of just Sheila!

Btw, B wasn't with us because he went on a business trip somewhere. He's still not working after Latvia; but a good opportunity came up for 2 weeks while Kaiden and I were away so he went for it. He's still kinda semi-retired right now.

Anyhoo, 3 weeks is sooo BITIN!!! I only got to meet a few of my friends. I just don't have much time. So I promised the friends I did not get to see, to prioritize in meeting them the next time we're in town.

Shopping is bitin as well! Wasn't able to go to much malls. We're always just around Glorietta, Greenbelt and Power Plant. And merely days before our flight, I already run out of shopping money! LOL! Typical me!

And now back to the present!

We're presently living here in Australia (Brisbane, Queensland). The little one enthusiastically started school here, which is just across the estate we're living in. And he's loving it!

Well, that's all for now. I'll save my tons of stories later; for I've got to visit your blogs and let you know that I'M BACK!!!

I sooo miss you guys!
